Yet since records began emeprical evidence taken from ice cores deep in the artic indicate otherwise. Since the industrial revolution the planet has never seen such a rapid rise in temperature.

  3. This continues in convincing me that humanity still doesn’t fully grasp its own influence as well as outside influences effecting the planet’s temperature. Lets hope we figure it out one day.

  4. I have questions about this as well. Seems the media doesn’t agree with this post. Planet temperature will be a big debate in the foreseeable future.

Are you not aware that there was an ice age around 10,000 years ago – when a sudden rise in temprature melted almost half a world covered in ice, making many species exstinct? The period of warming we are in is another cycle, there have been many ice ages over millions of years and many warm periods that followed. Judging the earth over the last 100 years doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface.

Who knows what to believe. For me, I think we need to try to reduce are footprint on earth but we can’t just assume everyone else in the world is going to do the same. If we make it impossible for business to work here in the U.S. it will go where it can. What would be worse is if in the end we find out it was not man’s fault but just another cycle and in the process we ruined our economy and country.
